Solar PV power projects in agriculture
What kind of projects need to be promoted in more fertile states like Kerala, Karnataka i.e where dry lands are less on a decentralized way to increase GDP by Solar PV power projects + Agriculture + Cold & Dry storage related projects to enhance the rural GDP:
a).Please refer to our company's visionary project "Agro Power Complex (APC)" (I started with such India Specific solutions and made a presentation in European Business Technology Centre.
b). In principle it is roof top solar PV power project, but, to use the land below the panels for growing the medicinal plants or vegetables with LED photosynthesis etc.. i.e Agriculture activity with solar Irrigation pumping solutions, which will help nearby land owners, so no resistance and no NA related issues, but, Government may not agree for PPA as the land has to be NA for Industrial activity..........We are looking for Partners and a PPA from the state government for R & D or a PILOT initiative to realize this initiatives and i invite the learned LinkedIn friends to arrange such network or as the case may be.
c). These kinds of projects for multilateral purpose will be useful with 5 or 10 MW or 15 MW size + a small Biomass plant + Cold or Dry Storage units /sheds in every District / Taluka will improve the Power situation with Day and night power + non wastage of Agri produce, less land usage per MW. Please note we need only 2 to 2.5 Acre / MW, but, with increase structural column (3.8 mtr high to accommodate plants).
Maximum land required per location for a 15 MW would be 50 Acres and we can find such dry land per district for sure, otherwise, the road and real estate projects might not have found the place....Hence, we are sure of this kind project success with low cost power generation and that too with multilateral benefits to the farming community and also for health care. Ayurveda is an advanced / practicing state like Kerala and Karnataka will be greatly be benefited, despite little less number of units getting generated (i.e 8% less energy when compared to south facing + latitude facing), but, we are removing a myth that the panels can be in any direction, but, we can save lot of land and 8% less energy will be compensated by other benefits like agri produce storage, irrigation promotion in the vicinity, Medicinal plant growth, Biomass usage etc + Lot of job creation in rural area with increased GDP.
d). We have been trying for good project partners, financiers, Government bodies including MNRE, KREDL, GEDA, EBTC, French Embassy etc, with no success as of now, but, need a good / learned Venture capitalist.... We can begin with a 3 MW Solar with our design with EPC from International EPC companies. Later we can append the Dry Storage Biomass power, etc.
Am throwing this business case open for the sake of transparency and also to benefit rural entrepreneurs with learned business plan etc.
