Through many local taluka level entrepreneurs with open and transparent business model with low cost 100% debt finance with financials to provide 5 to 10 laksh/year/MW after paying loan installment, interest and expenses can easily be devised and in a more decentralized way we can easily harness over 100,000 MW solar PV till we find a better storage technology with less cost on evacuation and also low tariff due to the absence of Return on Equity or No Accelerated Depreciation (AD), no VGF or such election funding schemes.... hence, public participation at large along with creation of Large number of Entrepreneurs and boost to the Good EPC companies to assure energy generation with sustainability.
While a non-bidding based tariff can definitely allow the solar to grow pretty much the same way wind industry took off in the last decade, I don't think there is appetite from the off-taker side for the same. Solar may not be the cause of their bankruptcy or distress - but it will be the straw that broke the cart!
In absolute terms, impact of solar power addition to the consumer tariff is negligible, but the politics of free power and subsidies is preventing any additional "costly" power off take.

1. Is solar PV viable without subsidy at these Grid price or no?
2. Is extra solar PV power easily technically absorbed by local grid at NO EXTRA GRID ADDITION SO AS TO PREVENT HUGE PUBLIC SPENDING IN THE NAME OF SUPPORTING SOLAR. That reduces battery bank costs.
I am no enemy of battery bank industry. Just trying to get "price swallowing" easy for us all.
3. Do we understand solar energy at all? Are we not comparing solar energy to a grid which costs Rs.10+ crore per MW while we compare it with only the Generation part available at Rs.6 crores. You own power plant, hedge against price hike for 10 years etc.

Whether renewable energy power will be a challenge to the grid depends on how renewable energy based distributed generation is connected to the grid. It need not be mentioned that, off-grid renewable energy generation is not a threat but it would rather complement the grid in providing power to remote and inaccessible areas where the grid has not reached.
But when it comes to grid connected distributed generation, even countries like US have not found a fool proof solution to the issues related to the grid. This is because, Distributed generation implies KW sized small scale generation. renewable energy generation be it Wind, Solar or Small Hydro have daily or seasonal peaks and troughs of generation. For distributed generation, the size of the plant being small, most plants do not have mechanisms to provide a stable feed to the grid, as it does not make the plant viable.
